DOE Reports Diesel Fuel Price Increase for Week of December 2

The Department of Energy (DOE) reported diesel fuel prices rose 3.9 cents per gallon to $3.883 per gallon. This is the second consecutive increase for diesel fuel and the largest one week increase since September.

Overall, diesel fuel would have cost you $4.027 at this time last year, so we are still 14.4 cents lower on our fleet fueling costs. Certainly, helping your fuel management program even if you don’t do anything with.

Crude Oil also produced good news when it settle Friday at $92.72 a barrel or $1.37 lower than the week before.

Even though people were driving through the holidays and I saw people pumping gas like crazy, gas prices dropped 2.1 cents to $3.272 per gallon.

Overall inventory for all products, production and refinery operations look solid for fleet fuel prices to remain fairly stable as we drive into winter.
