The Department of Energy (DOE) reported that diesel fuel prices fell this week by 4.1 cents per gallon will certainly help some company’s fleet management budgets.
The 4.1 price decrease in diesel fuel marks the 3rd straight week in a row in drop in trucking fleet fuel. That is 3 for 3 sounds like it must be March Madness time.
With the national price for diesel fuel at $4.047 makes it currently 2.3% or 9.5 cents, lower than at this time last year. I know, it seems hard to believe that diesel fuel could be 9.5 cents less, I just felt like we had some many up weeks. The good news for your fuel cards is more bangs for the buck.
Gas prices fell also this week help your fuel management to $3.696 and you won’t believe that is 17.1 cents less expensive than last year. We are still more expensive for gas prices than we were at the end of 2012 but at least your fueling cost is falling.
