Diesel fuel prices fell for a fourth week, dipping 0.8 cent to $3.841 a gallon, the lowest price since July 2012, the Department of Energy said Monday.
The drop in diesel fuel marks a 4.9 cent fall over the last month despite high crude oil prices.
Gas prices fell 2.9 cents to $3.626 a gallon, marking just its second decline in the past seven weeks, DOE said following its weekly survey of filling stations. It is odd to see gas prices fall during its peak season.
